Vehicle Loses Control, Hits Tree On Taconic State Parkway In Westchester

Emergency crews were sent to the Taconic State Parkway in Northern Westchester after a vehicle lost control and struck a tree, injuring the driver.

The incident happened on Thursday, Aug. 24 around 6:45 p.m., when fire crews responded to the southbound Taconic State Parkway in the area of the Mohansic Avenue ramp for a reported crash. 

According to the Yorktown Heights Fire Department, arriving crews found out that a vehicle had spun out and hit a tree after losing control. 

The driver was later taken to an area trauma center by the Yorktown Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
